About Sanjay Nambiar

I grew up in Carson, CA, next to Compton. My family had a steadfast focus on education, and I attended U.C. Berkeley, where I started as an English major but then fell in love with science; I graduated with honors with degrees in Neurobiology and Economics. I worked in investment banking at J.P. Morgan and in business development at a music start-up (Listen.com) during the 90s tech boom in San Francisco. I then earned my MBA at UCLA and, following my passion for creative content, worked in entertainment at CAA and ABC TV in Los Angeles.

Yet, throughout these endeavors, something was missing. I always knew I had a greater calling – to help others, to create, to be of service.

I combined my business experience with my creative side and went an entrepreneurial route. I started my own copywriting business – as I had always been a writer – and wrote marketing copy for ad agencies, Fortune 500 firms, and a multitude of small businesses. I wrote speeches for executives and laypeople (wedding speeches, eulogies, and more). Further pursuing my creative side, I founded a publishing company and wrote five award-winning children’s books that focused on Zen principles and female empowerment (I have two daughters). Outside of work, I also developed a love for improv and acting, as well as DJing (I’ve been a lifelong music head).

Putting all of this life experience together and working with coaches of my own, however, I realized that I could create meaningful and direct impact for others through coaching. I am able to coalesce these varied skills and bring unique perspectives to those who want to change their lives for the better.

On a Personal Note...

The struggles and triumphs of my life have enabled me to filter through so much of the wellness, spirituality, and self-improvement content that is out there, which means my coaching is efficient, bespoke, and effective. I’ve done the work; now my clients can gain from these insights and resources.

Helping people in this way is my purpose and passion, and I’m grateful I’m able to share this with my clients.

I started coaching men going through mid-life challenges because almost every guy I knew was suffering in one dimension or another. Life can be tough, and most men simply don’t have people to talk to, healthy outlets, or strong tools to help them become the best version of themselves.

Also, I’ve experienced a lot in my life, for better and worse, and that helps me bring unique and insightful perspectives to my clients. I lost my dad when I was five-years-old, and I grew up poor and in a drug- and gang-riddled neighborhood. Nonetheless, I was successful in school, in business, and on the creative side.

From my childhood through my career and creative endeavors to parenthood and relationships, I have worked constantly on self-improvement and development. I have worked through trauma, explored multiple forms of spirituality and meditation, and cultivated numerous creative outlets.

I have focused on nutrition, alternative food diets, and rigorous fitness (I’m in my late 40s and in the best shape of my life).

It’s been quite a life adventure. And on it goes. Now, more than anything else, I am here to create and to help others on their journey.
